Job Title: VP Compliance and Legal

Description:

AerDragon is the first Chinese lessor dedicated to aircraft operating lease. It is a joint venture among China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (China), AerCap (Ireland), CACIB (France) and East Epoch (Hong Kong, China). The company is looking for a strong legal and compliance leader to support its further development.

The position manages the company’s compliance and corporate and financing legal work inside and outside China including managing the company policy and procedures. This position is based in Beijing, China.

Responsibilities:
-Lead company’s policy and procedure construction
-Manage the company’s legal and policy compliance
-Supervise external counsel in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of corporate and financing documentation
-Manage dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration matters
-Anticipate issues and potential risks specific to compliance-related matters and propose strategies for mitigation
-Develop and deliver compliance training programs
-Support external audits

Required Experiences and Qualification:
-Minimum 10 years of legal or internal compliance experience with at least five years in management positions; prior experience with international companies or state-owned enterprises is preferred
-Experience in internal control management is preferred
-Knowledge and experience of aircraft leasing is preferred
-Master degree in law is preferred
-Fluent in English and Chinese, including formal report writing and oral communication
-Result oriented and self-motivated
-Chinese citizen or right for work in China
